HSBC Celebrates milestone with gifts to customers

Malta Independent Thursday, 22 June 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

A total of 2,000 new Quikcash cards, as well as 2,000 new Visa cards featuring the fabulous imagery of Malta, have now been issued to customers of HSBC Bank Malta plc. To celebrate this milestone, a copy of the publication Malta 360° was presented to the four customers who received the 2,000th card in each respective category.

These were Grezzju Falzon, Maria Rosaria Debono, Clint Pisani and Anne Schembri.

The new designs were launched by HSBC at the beginning of April, following an HSBC Group decision to change the look and feel of credit and debit cards in all the countries where the Group operates.

HSBC Bank Malta was, in fact, the first bank within the entire group to adopt new designs launching The Malta Collection, a set of beautifully designed credit and debit cards, the front of which carry well-known scenes of Malta and Gozo.

“As the world’s local bank, HSBC is adopting new card designs to reflect the history and culture of each of the countries in which it operates,” said HSBC Malta card products manager Nicolo Baldacchino Orland.

“In Malta, our new card designs have proved very popular with customers, and more than 8,000 now carry a spectacular image of our country with them in their wallet wherever they go.

“This small gift to four of our customers not only represents a milestone, but also an opportunity for HSBC to thank its customers for their trust and business,” said Mr Baldacchino Orland.
