HSBC Bank Malta plc is sponsoring the Malta Arts Festival – Summer 2006. This is the third consecutive year that the bank is supporting this annual festival organised by the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts (KMKA). The funds provided will help KMKA to strengthen the quality of this annual summer festival which offers a series of activities ranging from music and dance to film. The programme also includes drama workshops designed to help actors and teachers develop their techniques.
“HSBC believes in promoting the culture of every country where it operates. Over the past two summers, KMKA have provided the public with an excellent and diverse programme. With HSBC’s support, the Malta Arts Festival – Summer 2006 looks set to continue building on this success,” said HSBC Executive Director, Dr Philip Farrugia Randon.
“The Malta Arts Festival – Summer 2006 will run from 28 July to 20 August offering the public an impressive variety of performance arts in many different settings. Every year, KMKA, strives to improve on the previous year’s festival. To achieve this however, we need the support of volunteers and, of course, of private companies like HSBC who help us to meet the substantial expenses involved. Thanks to this continuing support, I am confident that we have been able to prepare a programme packed with top quality artists,” said KMKA Chairperson, Mr Hans Cauchi.
