Malta Independent Sunday, 23 July 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

MISCO has just issued the Salaries and Benefits Report for the IT sector. This report is compiled with the aim of providing senior management with information about the different remuneration packages paid in the Maltese IT industry.

Compiled over a four-month period, covering January to April 2006, the Salaries and Benefits Report for the Information Technology Sector focuses on the salaries and benefits offered in ICT and non-ICT companies. The report distinguishes between local private, local public and foreign-owned companies and between companies of different sizes. This segmentation of information gives the end user a better idea of remuneration packages offered locally, thus permitting a more accurate positioning of the organisation in the market.

The 17 position titles covered by this study include;

Systems Manager IT Engineer Services Manager Systems Analyst Information Technology Manager Systems Administrator Business Development Manager Quality Analyst Software/Technical Specialist Support Officer Project Manager Technical Officer Project Leader IT Consultant Senior Software Developer Information Security Officer Software Developer.

Based on quality research and extensive knowledge acquired through MISCO’s involvement in human resources consultancy, this report provides a reliable, realistic and up-to-date picture of what companies are paying to recruit new employees or to retain their present staff.

Copies of the report are available from the MISCO offices, 3rd Floor, Regency House, Republic Street, Valletta. For more information please e-mail Anton Buttigieg on [email protected] or call 2122 0303 / 2205 41 22.
