The General Workers’ Union and Printex Ltd have signed a new collective agreement that will provide better working conditions for the company’s employees.

The three-year agreement, effective 1 January 2006, improves employee wages and increases the company’s service bonus for those about to retire. Parental and urgent leave and health and safety clauses have also been included.

The agreement was signed by GWU section secretary Rebecca Gatt, shop steward Ausonio Busuttil and assistant shop steward Josef Chetcuti for the employees, while Printex managing director Peter Galea signed on behalf of the company.
