Design Print, based in Moscow, has invested in the Russian Federation’s first HP Scitex XL1500 super-wide format digital printer and an HP Scitex TJ8300 wide format printer.

The addition of the HP Scitex TJ8300 and HP Scitex XL1500 to Design Print’s existing HP Scitex printers means that it now has one of the largest groups of drum printers in Europe. Since first offering digital printing services in 2003, the firm has undertaken some of Russia’s most prestigious printing projects.

The wide format printing market in Russia is growing rapidly, by about 20 per cent a year and the proliferation of new printing businesses has meant prices for “regular” jobs have fallen.

Design Print’s HP Scitex printers will help it counteract this trend on two levels: firstly, they will allow the firm to take on specialist projects that will give it a more competitive edge and secondly, the speed of the printers, particularly the HP Scitex TJ8300, will increase capacity and the volume of work it can undertake.
