Big Band Brothers In concert at Freedom Square

Big Band Brothers in Concert will be at Freedom Square, Valletta from 9pm onwards on Monday 14 August. Directed by percussionist Daniel Cauchi and choreography by Christina Camilleri, the evening show features the Big Band Bros in a joint venture with singers, dancers and actors, to create a theatrical comedy.

The programme will include a variety of music with the use of electronic, visual and vocal effects, and the use of common material such as metals, plastics, glass, aluminum cans, and other recycled items. The band will deliver a new and interesting picture of an orchestral musical instrument and an environmental message through the use of uncommon rhythmic instruments. Big Band Brothers is sponsored by HSBC, Maltanet, Bank of Valletta, and the Westin Dragonara Resort. Admission for this concert is free of charge.

Big Band Brothers is made up of talented musicians playing brass instruments and percussion. The musicians performing in the concert include Alex Bezzina, Reno Cassar, Ryan Mallia, Daniel Vella, Shawn Vella, Marco Gauci, Philip Bartolo, Tancred Grech, Chris Spiteri, Edward Cauchi, Philip Zammit, Jonathan Spiteri, and Daniel Cauchi himself. Choreographer Christina Camilleri will be accompanied by the dancers Maria Cassar, Tamara Camilleri, Maria Zahra, Sarah Busuttil and Dorian Mallia.
