The Malta Union of Professional Psychologists and the Malta Union of Teachers have continued their industrial dispute they registered with the Education Division over the working conditions of educational psychologists.

The MUPP and the MUT registered the industrial dispute on Saturday after the psychologists received a letter at home warning them that they will lose their jobs if they did not follow the instructions they were given.

The unions took exception to this letter saying this amounted to a clear threat and therefore registered an industrial dispute.

The unions said the division’s attitude went against all principles of social dialogue and was confrontational.

They declared that they were prepared to take all action necessary to protect their members.
