A man was critically injured after he fell off a ladder in Depiro Street in Sliema yesterday morning.

The police said the man was climbing down a ladder when for some reason he lost his balance and plummeted one storey and landed on a pile of debris.

The 52-year-old man from St Andrew’s was hospitalised where he was treated for the serious injuries he had sustained. He was in critical condition.

Duty magistrate Antonio Mizzi was informed about the case. He appointed a number of court experts to assist him with the investigations.

The police are investigating.
