The need for a plan to repatriate immigrants to North Africa was on the agenda of a meeting between Malta Labour Party (MLP) foreign affairs and IT spokesman Leo Brincat and the Spanish ambassador Marta Vilardell Coma at the MLP head-quarters in Hamrun.
During the meeting, Mr Brincat and Ms Vilardell Coma discussed international terrorism and the reconstruction of Lebanon, as well as the need for a more dynamic and efficient United Nations. They also talked about the need to place the Palestinian issue at the forefront of the international agenda, in order to stabilise the situation in the Middle East for the good of everyone concerned.
Mr Brincat added, that as a Council of Europe rapporteur, he fully agreed with the initiatives of Spanish Prime Minister Zapatero to eradicate the memory of the Franco regime.
