Bank of Valletta and Malta Enterprise are launching a trade mission to Cairo in Egypt for Maltese small- and medium-sized enterprises. Coordinated in collaboration with Bank of Valletta’s representative office in Cairo, the trade mission’s main objective is to allow participants the opportunity to travel as an official trade delegation and participate in a number of pre-arranged meetings to establish international business contacts.

Egypt offers export potential for niche products and services for Maltese companies interested in this 74 million-population market. This market has been visited in the past with reasonable success by participants.

This will be an excellent opportunity for SMEs, manufacturers, exporters, service providers and export traders to travel to seek new sales leads and/or to re-affirm existing contacts with buyers, importers, distributors, agents and so forth.

It also serves as an excellent means for enterprising companies to undertake practical market research and obtain vital market information, which is so crucial to export success. Furthermore, it also gives companies the opportunity to assess for themselves the market potential in practical terms for their particular product or service.
