HSBC Bank Malta has opened a new branch in Marsascala, bringing the total number of HSBC branches and agencies in Malta and Gozo to 38. The new branch, which will provide customers with a full range of personal financial services as well as 24/7 automated services, is located in St Anthony Street, the main road leading into Marsascala.

“There is a sizeable population in the Marsascala area and the new premises are in the heart of the town and will improve our service to customers in this area,” said HSBC Chief Executive Officer, Mr Shaun Wallis.

In the past three years, HSBC has invested over Lm10 million on a branch refurbishment programme. Through this programme, all HSBC branches in Malta and Gozo are being brought up to HSBC Group standards, both in terms of comfort for customers and employees, accessibility for disabled persons and also safety for customers and staff. With this refurbishment programme now in its final stages, HSBC has begun a process of providing an improved service to those customers who, in the past, did not have easy access to a branch or ATM.

“My team is determined to make the Marsascala branch a success by providing all those who decide to conduct business with us the very best of customer service for which HSBC is renowned. All of us are looking forward to getting to know the people here in Marsascala, and to providing them with the personal financial services they need,” said HSBC’s Service and Sales branch manager in Marsascala, Mr Ray Bartolo.

“The opening of HSBC’s Marsascala branch is another important step in the bank’s efforts to ensure that customers have easy and convenient access to their local bank. Our aim is to place the customer at the very centre of what we do and I am sure that Ray and his team will be a shining example of this. The whole southern area team will also be on hand to offer all the support necessary for our customers,” said HSBC Southern Area Director, Mr Francis X. Gouder.
