Three motorists and a 67-year-old passenger who were involved in a traffic accident on Monday night were admitted to hospital, but none of them was suffering from serious injuries and all were discharged, the police said.

The accident took place at around 9.20pm in Mdina Road, Qormi, when a 19-year-old woman from Zebbug lost control of the car she was driving, a Toyota, and was involved in a collision with a Ford Escort driven by a 21-year-old man from Birkirkara.

As a result, a Peugeot driven by a 42-year-old man from Gudja was involved in a collision with the Escort.

The police are investigating.
