Celebrating Diversity with African live music and cuisine

Moviment Graffitti and the team of Harmony in Diversity will be holding an “African Live Music & Cuisine” Festival on Saturday in the canteen, of the Students’ House at the University of Malta, Tal-Qroqq at 8pm.

This event will conclude the “Harmony in Diversity” project that falls under the EU Youth Programme. The aim of Harmony in Diversity is to facilitate inclusion of immigrants into Maltese society through a series of seminars, events, food tasting activities and music. The African Live Music and Cuisine festival will feature live African music by Eritrean, Congolose, Sudanese and Maltese performers. Food served during the event will include a wide variety of sweets prepared by African cooks from Somalia, Sudan, Congo, Eritrea and Ethiopia.

The “1,000 Families” photographic exhibition by renowned German photographer Uwe Ommer and organised by NGO Kopin will also be on display.
