The Union Haddiema Maghqudin (UHM) civil servants section has asked Civil Service Head Godwin Grima to intervene regarding the new parking arrangements in Valletta.
The section said the Investment, Industry and Information Technology Ministry (MIIIT) said the measures regarding parking in Valletta will not discussed any further and will be implemented as announced.
The section had asked the government to allocate a few parking spaces in the capital, which are used by public officials, and not charge their users. It also insisted that a meeting should be set up between the Office of the Prime Minister and the ministries concerned in order to secure that their employees reach their workplace without additional problems and costs.
The UHM section said it is not excluding the possibility of industrial action if this matter is not given due consideration.
