Fine art photographer Dr Joseph (Beppe) Zammit-Lucia was presented with the 2007 Black and White Spider Awards Nomination in the Nature category at a prestigious live on-line Awards Ceremony presented by Black and White Spider Awards to recognize excellence in black and white photography.
Thousands of images were received from over 60 countries and the nominated photographers were selected by a Who's Who judging panel from the international photography community, including Magnum Photos, LIFE Magazine, Tate Gallery, and the Leica Photo Gallery. The panel reviewed the images on-line over an eight-week period. All four of Dr Zammit-Lucia’s images submitted in the Nature category were selected for nominations having received a high percentage of votes overall.
“The Spider Awards celebrates photographers who operate at the highest levels of their craft,” said Basil O'Brien, the awards’ Creative Director. “Joe’s entries certainly represent black and white imaging at its finest, and we're pleased to present him with these multiple Nominations.”
Dr Zammit-Lucia was also inducted Fellow of the Black and White Spider Awards.
