Children in care at various institutions were treated to Christmas fun and festivities by the HSBC Cares For Children Fund (HCCF). The fund contributed the amount of Lm1,300 for the organisation of parties and seasonal celebrations, so that the children could enjoy the fun that these parties bring them, during the festive season.

The institutions benefiting from this donation are the Young People’s Unit in Attard, the Foster Care Unit at Agenzija Appogg, the Kummissjoni Djakonija in Zurrieq. Fairyland and the Child Guidance Clinic at St Luke’s Hospital are also among the beneficiaries. The funds allocated to the Young People’s Unit are also going towards activities for the youngsters such as attending the theatre, day trips to Gozo, cultural outings and birthday parties.

“The Christmas period is a time for joy, peace and celebration. The HSBC Cares For Children Fund believes that its donation will provide quality time for the children where they can rest and play in a safe environment, in the company of friends, family and carers,” said HCCF’s chairperson, Catherine Gonzi.
