The Social Democrat Students’ organisation, Pulse which is to contest the University Students’ Council (KSU) elections, yesterday launched the official programme for its 10th anniversary.
Pulse president, Randolph De Battista said that it was on 19 March 1997 that Pulse was launched. He explained that the name “Pulse” symbolises the main aim of the organisation, that of feeling the pulse of all students and defending their rights.
The anniversary programme includes a football tournament being held today at Kordin Grounds, a reception tomorrow, for all youth organisations in Malta, and a Rock Fest which will be held on campus on 11 May.
This is the second time that Pulse will contest these elections.
Pulseaims be the voice of students in KSU and will help all students with their problems on campus. A good KSU should be impartial, Mr De Battista said.
