A Rabat man, who was charged last September with threatening Mr Justice Giannino Caruana Demajo, was arraigned again yesterday, charged with breaching bail conditions.

Austin Xuereb, 57, pleaded not guilty to breaching bail conditions after failing to sign at the police station in his hometown on Saturday.

Mr Xuereb, who was charged with breaching bail conditions imposed by magistrate Antonio Mizzi on 29 September last year, was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm1,000.

Police superintendent Carmelo Bartolo prosecuted, while Dr Edward Zammit Lewis and Dr Roberto Montalto appeared for the accused.
