A 26-year-old Belgian man was yesterday accused of cultivating, being in possession of and importing five cannabis plants.
Appearing before magistrate Jacqueline Padovani, Kurt R.M. Sierens, who resides in Msida, pleaded not guilty to cultivating the plants during the past six months.
He was granted bail against a deposit of Lm500 and a personal guarantee of Lm5,000.
Police inspector Norbert Ciappara prosecuted and Dr Joseph Giglio appeared for the accused.
