According to the results for the first quarter this year, Melita Cable continues to register strong growth in the provision of TV services. The most impressive growth, the company said, remained in the area of digital TV, with over 30 per cent of its 102,000 subscribers migrating to digital TV, which offered 75 channels and a radio package with over 65 local and international radio channels.
Melita Cable CEO Philip Micallef attributes the growth to the superior quality product that Melita offers as a result of 15 years’ experience in the business, a highly qualified and dedicated team and its state-of-the-art technology.
Apart from the choice and quality of channels and programming, Melita said it offered one of the best sports channels in Europe, which would include from next year the top teams of the Italian Serie A League as well as the Barclays English Premier League, the UEFA Champions League, the Spanish Primera, Formula One and magazine programmes in wrestling, cricket, rugby and horse-racing.
