An Egyptian man was yesterday fined Lm50 and was bound by an Lm100 guarantee to stop harassing a woman he had threatened over the phone.
Elsayed Abdelsalem El Sisy, 36, from Fgura, pleaded guilty to making threatening phone calls to a woman on 23 April.
The court, presided over by Magistrate Audrey Demicoli fined him Lm50 and ordered him to stop harassing the woman, binding him to not do so with an Lm100 personal guarantee.
Police Inspector Kevin Farrugia prosecuted while Dr Jose Herrera appeared for the accused.
