HP Named a leader in software for “appliance-based end user experience monitoring” of it

HP announced that industry analyst firm Forrester Research has named it a leader in software solutions for end-user experience monitoring of IT services and applications.

Forrester considers end-user monitoring to be the only way IT knows that it is meeting user expectations in terms of availability, performance, usability and accuracy of business services and IT applications. HP Real User Monitor, the company’s appliance-based end user monitoring solution, is used as a measuring stick for IT initiatives such as business service management, application performance management, problem isolation, service-level management and more. Appliance-based end-user monitoring is a term to describe monitoring software that works on hardware appliances, such as computers and servers.

HP Real User Monitor, an integral component of the HP End User Management application, proactively monitors websites and application availability in real time from the end-user perspective to enable IT to correct issues before end users experience problems. HP Real User Monitor is an integral part of HP Business Availability Center Software, which enables customers to optimise the availability, performance and effectiveness of business services and applications.

“IT organisations are under increasing pressure to monitor the health of business services and applications from the point of view of the consumers of those services – the business, its customers and its partners,” said Ramin Sayar, senior director of products, Software, HP. “We are proud to be recognised by Forrester as a leading provider of end-user experience monitoring solution.”
