Parking spaces for staff at Mater Dei Hospital, will, at 1000, be double what is now available at St Luke’s Hospital.

The allocation of the parking spaces was decided last week. Since the staff at the hospital works around the clock, the 1,000 car spaces provided will cater for more than 1,000 staff as the shift system will mean more than one user will be able to use each space.

Even so, however, notwithstanding this increase, only around 50 per cent of people working at the hospital will have guaranteed and reserved parking, hospital sources said.
