UniMint Ltd announced the launch of Billionairio last week –http://www.billionairio.com – a raffle style game that has a Grand Prize of EUR1 billion on the successful sell-out of all tickets.
UniMint is based in Malta and operates under a Class 1 Gaming licence from the LGA Malta. Malta has become a major hub of the global gaming industry.
Closing numbers of major stock market indices will be used to determine the winning ticket number. “This will make the raffle safe and reliable,” said Chris Strongman, the managing director of UniMint Ltd. Additionally 1,200 prizes ranging in value from 1,000 to 10 million euros will be drawn and all ticket holders will have multiple chances to win.
Billionairio offers an above industry payout ratio of 66 per cent “The prize pool grows linear meaning the more you play the more we pay out,” Mr Strongman added. All tickets will be sold exclusively on-line.
As a truly global event, the site has been developed in 12 languages and tickets will be available for purchase in most countries. Due to current Internet gaming laws in the USA or Turkey for example, financial institutions in such countries no longer process gaming related credit card charges, preventing their residents from purchasing tickets. “Residents of these countries can only participate by redeeming gift certificates, e-vouchers that are converted into valid tickets free of charge. These vouchers can be purchased by anyone in countries where there is no limitation on payment transaction. We welcome every player, and have a mandate to observe international as well as local laws in order to preserve the integrity of our game,” said Mr Strongman.
The grand prizewinner, as well as every winner of a prize equal or greater than EUR1 million will be flown to Malta to collect their winnings in person. According to Mr Strongman, “Funds will be transferred directly to the winner’s bank account, without any hold-backs or pro-rated pay-outs.”
HSBC will provide Billionairio winners with first class service when it comes to financial services.
