Assumption Of Our Lady

Archbishop Mgr Paul Cremona OP is to preside over the celebrations at the Cathedral Church, Mdina, on the occasion of the Solemnity of the Assumption of Our Lady into Heaven.

The programme for 14 August, eve of the Feast of the Assumption, starts at 5.45pm with the Translation of the Relic of Our Lady. At 6pm there will be Holy Mass and Pontifical Vespers.

On 15 August, the Feast of St Mary, a Mass will be

celebrated at 8am. At 8.55am there will be Morning Prayers, followed by a Pontifical concelebrated Mass at 9.30am. Another Mass will be celebrated at 11am.

The day’s programme will continue at 5pm with Vespers, the reposition of the relic and a Eucharistic Celebration.

Evening Mass will follow at 6pm.
