A woman was yesterday put on probation for one year after pleading guilty to stealing a mobile phone.
Dorianne Borg, 24, pleaded guilty to stealing a mobile phone from Mellieha to the detriment of Darren Lee Axisa on 3 June. She also pleaded guilty to fabricating evidence. The court, presided over by magistrate Edwina Grima put the woman on probation for a one year period. Police inspector Anthony Portelli prosecuted while Dr Jose Herrera appeared for the accused.
