APS Bank Sponsors Cana Movement conference

Malta Independent Thursday, 25 October 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

The Cana Movement, together with Caritas and the Diocesan Commission for the Family, is launching a campaign to promote a strong marriage bond. A healthy marriage is fundamentally important to both the persons involved as well as to society in general. To this end, a national conference is being held on Saturday at St Monica School, Gzira between 9am and 1pm.

An APS Bank sponsorship towards this conference was presented by Alfred Triganza, senior manager - marketing to Fr. Joseph Mizzi, director of the Cana Movement, who thanked the bank for its generous offer, which confirms the bank’s active involvement in community issues, particularly in the sector affecting the family.

By means of this sponsorship the Cana Movement is in a position to hold the conference on a national level. Samantha Callan, brought over specifically for this occasion, will be the main speaker.

During her stay in Malta, Dr Callan will be meeting journalists at the Catholic Institute today at 9.30am. Tomorrow she will be visiting the University of Malta academic staff members and students (Gateway Building Hall B2).
