Government Wants to make consensus on IT sector difficult – Leo Brincat

Malta Independent Friday, 26 October 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

Malta Labour Party spokesman for Foreign Affairs and IT Leo Brincat said he wanted to take no credit for the implementation of proposals in the sector, but the government should recognise that many of them came to be after the MLP published its document

on IT.

Replying to a statement by Investments, Industry and IT Minister Austin Gatt, Mr Brincat said it seemed the minister wanted to make it difficult for consensus to be found on the subject. This is a shame because the two sides should work together as they did on financial services and maritime affairs.
