La Salle Vitality-D6 Living Well HCM 22 – 7
The first instances of the match promised a delightful and entertaining match. D6 showed very good handball in the first quarter, but as soon as the game stated to proceed D6 lost all discipline in attack and this made it easy for La Salle to play their game.
A good defence forced the opponents to shoot from long range and the home team made the most out of their effective fast breaks, typical of their game. Merit goes to La Salle who by now have succeed in winning almost all of their matches.
On the other hand, D6 still need to merge their individual skills into a team game and find some of the play they showed last year.

Ta’ Xbiex K-Aloysians Express 15 – 24
Aloysians had no problem in facing this game and thrive to seal the result by the 10th minute.
Kavallieri had a tough task with two key players missing and some beginners trying to fill their boots. Natasha Celic – the most experienced Kavallieri player – did not find much help from her teammates, most of which are only beginners.
Brenda Camilleri scored 12 goals for Aloysians and with a very good team effort in attack, scoring was a rather easy task for Aloysians Express.

Promotion League
In the games from the Promotion League La Salle Piatnik were tough opponents to La Salle Kia Motors whom emerged winners by 22-20 after a long fought battle in the ‘college derby’.
It was an interesting match where Piatnik showed more enthusiasm and spirit while Kia Motors – after committing some basic mistakes in the beginning – succeeded to settle down and take the three points home.
A similar feat was experienced by Kavallieri Rayair who beat Aloysians Kelme 19-15. The winners had a better first half than their opponents who put up a brave fight but had to give in to a more experienced team.
U/16 League
De La Salle-D-Hs 16 – 30
Much more was expected from the outcome of this first U/16 match as D-Hs lost some players from last season while De La Salle had a stronger team on paper. However, it was a very positive day in attack for both Peter Naudi and Lyden Zerafa for the visitors.
La Salle tried to counter the D-Hs duo by using one on one defence. Ryan Sciortino was a serious threat to the D-Hs defence who however had all his shots saved by a fabulous Terence Cassar between the D-Hs posts.
