Malta’s Alex Borg and Simon Zammit crashed to defeats at the IBSF world amateur championship in Thailand as the Group qualifying matches continued.
In Group D, Borg lost narrowly 4-3 to New Zealand’s Dene O’Kane and was then beaten 4-1 by the UAE’s Mohamed al Joker.
In Group C, Zammit lost to Joe Meara of N. Ireland 4-0.
