A number of watches worth up to Lm1,000 were stolen from a shop early yesterday morning at around 5.30am in Birkirkara.

In a statement, the police said the theft took place after unidentified number of people broke into the shop in Salvu Psaila Street Birkirkara after breaking shop window’s glass panel.
