BOV Supports ‘Pawlu ta’ Malta’ performance

The performance is under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Lawrence Gonzi and Achbishop Emeritus Guzeppi Mercieca.

Karl Spiteri, manager, corporate branding and quality at Bank of Valletta presented the bank’s sponsorship to Mro Dion Buhagiar during one of the rehearsals that are currently taking place. Mr Spiteri reiterated BOV’s commitment towards promoting Maltese culture. “Pawlu ta' Malta represents a fine example of Maltese talent and creativity in the musical work of Charles Camilleri and the lyrics of Prof. Oliver Friggieri,” he said, adding that this performance will also be providing the opportunity to a number of Maltese artists to showcase their talent and provide a most pleasant artistic experience to those who will attend.

The orchestra and choir of the Collegium Musicum will be under the direction of Mro Dion Buhagiar; Mario Bisazza will be leading the orchestra. The soloists are soprano Claire Caruana, tenor Frans Mangion, and baritone Alfred Camilleri and the narration will be by Philip Farrugia Randon. A booklet with the full text of the oratorio will be distributed prior to the performance.
