GWU Accused UHM of interference

Malta Independent Monday, 4 February 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

The UHM, the GWU added, was threatening to take industrial action.

The GWU said it could not understand how the airline’s management could accept to have talks with a minority union when the GWU was officially recognised and had the trust of the majority of employees.

It added that when these two categories of workers joined Air Malta, the UHM had advised them to accept the contract of work offered to them, though the conditions were inferior.
