A 64-year-old man from Hamrun yesterday was charged with raping his 37-year-old daughter and holding her against her will.

The man, whose name cannot be published following a court order, pleaded not guilty to raping his 37-year-old daughter in the morning on 4 January in Hamrun.

He was also charged with using violence to force his daughter to do something against her will, threatening her with her life and relapsing.

Police inspector Louise Calleja prosecuted while Dr Joseph Giglio and Dr Stephen Tonna Lowell appeared for the man.
