MT StyleClinic celebrated its first birthday on 31 January. The celebrations took place at the Excelsior Grand Hotel in true MT StyleClinic manner.

To date MT StyleClinic have opened their doors to 72 women from all walks of life. “The feedback has been overwhelming” said Francesca Rizzo, one of the founders. “The ladies we have met over the past year have been great, enthusiastic and eager to learn. We have also learnt a lot from our participants, and owe a lot of MT StyleClinic success to them.”

MT StlyeClinic has also held corporate courses for HSBC and Excelsior Grand Hotel and are looking to develop this sector further. It is refreshing to see that the mentality towards continuing education is changing and that some companies are investing in alternative means of educating their staff and encouraging their personal development.”

“When Nirvana and I set out to launch MT StyleClinic, we had no idea what to expect from our participants, but were simply head-set on providing an exciting, challenging and fresh way for women to learn how to better themselves – not for anyone else, but for themselves. After a rollercoaster year we still feel the passion we set out with and are constantly learning and working to improve. We have met some inspiring people along the way, lecturers and students; without them MT StyleClinic would not be where it is today. “We don’t only want to make a difference to the lives of the women that participate in the course but we would also like to make a difference in our community. Last October we organised a walkathon, against domestic violence, and managed to raise the healthy sum of e4,425. There is no greater satisfaction then knowing you have helped someone in some way.”

“We are very proud of what we have achieved in the past year and are really excited about the year ahead. We are working on a few new projects and will soon be launching MT StyleClinic Phase 2, following a request from MT StyleClinic graduates for a sequel to the first course.
