The Youths Section of Nature Trust (Malta) recently organised a youths exchange in Malta. Youths from Lithuania, Italy, Turkey, Egypt and Malta participated in this Exchange which focused on one of the main environmental problems of today – climate change.

During this one week event, the Youths had the chance to learn more on this problem, on what they can do to mitigate the problems, how to face adaptation to change, how to create awareness among youths and what youths can do in their own countries. The participants had the chance to hear the opinions of various expert speakers, visit organisations such as EneMalta Corporation and the Clean Technology Centre and discuss between themselves how to bring up such issues in their respective countries.

NTM has for the last months been actively involved on the climate change issue and is participating in the Climate Change Action network CAN – a network involving many countries on this issue. The NGO is also active in Youths activities and is a board member of the Youths Environment Europe YEE where various Youths exchanges are held in various parts of Europe and for which NTM Youths actively participate
