Archbishop Paul Cremona is set to lead a pilgrimage of 168 Maltese to the Holy Land between Sunday and 7 April.

During the first part of the visit, the pilgrims will visit Nazareth, Mount Tabor, Mount Carmel, Cafarnaum, the Mount of the Beatitudes, the Jordan River, Cana and the Sea of Galilee, among others.

The second part of the pilgrimage will include visits to the Mount of Temptation in Jericho and the Dead Sea, followed by visits to Bethlehem, the Church of the Nativity and a number of sanctuaries.

The pilgrimage will draw to a close with visits to Emmaus, Mount Zion and the Judas Quarter.

The Archbishop will preside over the celebration of Mass in the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth, the Memorial of St Peter in Cafarnaum and other holy sites.

Archbishop Cremona will also call on the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem Mgr Michel Sabbah and he will meet a number of Maltese living in the Holy Land.

Mgr Cremona’s guide during the pilgrimage will be Fr Twanny Chircop, while the other guides include Fr Marcello Ghirlando, Fr Gwann Abela and Fr Noel Muscat.
