2008 has seen Frank Salt Real Estate investing greatly in promoting Malta overseas, spending large amounts of money advertising in overseas newspapers and magazines and participating in overseas property exhibitions.
To date, Frank Salt Real Estate has been present in several countries and participated in six international property exhibitions in an attempt to increase public awareness of the Maltese islands and promoting Malta as the ideal country to purchase property. The countries targeted include mainland Europe, the UK, the Scandinavian Countries, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. More property exhibitions are lined up for the coming months.
Frank Salt Real Estate has always been on the forefront where it comes to the foreign buyer, nowadays attracting more than 500 potential buyers per year. “The way the market is going makes an increase in international exposure a must” says Joe Lupi, managing director, “Globalisation, weather changes, ease of travel and increased economic activity are prompting more and more foreign nationals to consider buying property beyond their borders, either as a holiday home, as an investment or as a new residence. And this an ever-increasing opportunity for Malta.”
Frank Salt, chairman, agrees by saying: “It doesn’t take an Einstein to realise that many Maltese have already purchased their homes, and that many Maltese have already purchased property investments. This means that the current property market will carry on being healthy as long as the number of new developments do not greatly outnumber the number of existing potential purchasers. In addition, we need to aggressively market these developments together with other property abroad in order to find new purchasers. This will ensure a continuing healthy and prosperous property market, plenty of overseas publicity for our Islands, with the resulting visits to our country of many tourists spending long or short periods of time in Malta.”
