A number of employees from the Employment and Training Corporation (ETC) recently spent a day doing voluntary work at St Joseph Home in Santa Venera.
This is the third CSR day organised by the Corporation. St Joseph Home is run by the Missionary Society of St. Paul and has nineteen boys in its care. Throughout the day, the Corporation’s staff was divided into different groups which were assigned the painting of various bedroom and meeting room walls, a complete upgrade and painting of the tennis court, gardening and other refurbishment works. The Corporate Social Responsibility Day is also an opportunity to strengthen the team building efforts between management and staff from different Divisions, who donate their vacation leave to the event.
Fr. Frankie Cini Director of the Home, thanked the staff of the Corporation for their effort and commitment throughout the day. He noted that such events went a long way to ease the burden of maintaining large premises such as this one, and served to make a visible difference in the boy’s living conditions.
