Ing. Michael Mifsud is the CEO Designate at Multigas. The appointment came into effect this month.

Multigas Ltd is a Maltese registered company that started producing and supplying industrial gases in 1926. Today, Multigas is the major gas supplier to the Maltese market, conforming to international standards and local regulations, particularly in the very stringent field of medicinal gases.

Ing. Mifsud, 44, has an electrical engineering degree and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Malta, and a broad operational and commercial background. Prior to this appointment, he has occupied senior management positions in two diverse multinationals, namely Dowty (now Trelleborg) and Carlo Gavazzi.

He has been involved in the development of polymer seal business for automotive customers, and more recently played a key role in the conception, development and marketing of electronic components for industrial automation. Ing. Mifsud will shortly be following specialised studies in cryogenics and superconductivity in the UK.

Commenting on the appointment, Louis Farrugia, chairman of the Board of Directors said: “Ing. Mifsud’s professional experience will be a valuable contribution to the business as we consolidate further in the years to come.”
