The McLaren F1 Club (Malta) recently published the tenth issue of its official annual magazine Pitpass. The 32-page colour magazine was launched during a get-together for members and supporters of Team Vodafone McLaren Mercedes to celebrate the team's 2008 F1 World Championship win.
Besides the usual review of all the season's Grand Prix races, the magazine includes write-ups by experts in the field of Formula One racing.
Christopher Scicluna has an interesting article on 'Sex and Fast Cars!, while Godwin Cini, who never missed to put pen to paper in all the past ten issues, writes about McLaren drivers who won an F1 World Championship.
Other contributors in this issue are club members Stephen Micallef and John Caruana, while club official Ian Ciangura gives a detailed account of the club's activities since its foundation.
In the editorial titled '2008 A Very Special Year', Chairperson Penelope Ciangura spells out the reasons why last year was a special one since the club celebrated its tenth anniversary and Lewis Hamilton won the 2008 F1 World Drivers' Championship. And also because this is the tenth issue of Pitpass.
Pitpass has all the statistics fast lane enthusiasts look for in a motoring magazine. There's also information about the club's fifth tour to Silverstone, another on Ron Dennis and an article about the Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge UK. The centre pages carry a poster of Lewis Hamilton and his racing car.
The F1 magazine is sent free to those who make a request for it and can be obtained through email: [email protected] or by writing to McLaren F1 Club Malta) P.O. BOX 76, Paola PLA 1000. Respondents are kindly asked to send a e0.35 stamp.
