In the second match of the afternoon, Sirens overcame the resistance of Exiles after some fine play in the opening of the first session but Exiles did come back as time went by.
Sirens raced to a 4-0 lead at the opening of the first session with goals from Clint Mercieca, paul Portelli, Ryan Mock and Charles Zammit. Rizzo Naudi and Calleja made it 2-4 whilst in the second session, Sirens edged this 3-2 with Zammit, Privitera and Mercieca scoring for Sirens and Grixti and Enriquez replying for Exiles.
The third session was somewhat short of goals until Enriquez further reduced the deficit for Exiles to make it 5-7.
The fourth session began with a fine goal from long range by Zammit to re-establish Sirens’ three goal advantage. Sullivan made it 6-8 midway through the session with Rizzo Naudi bringing Exiles within striking distance with another good goal.
