Sliema 11

0-2, 2-2, 0-6, 3-1

Sliema and Marsascala squared up in an encounter which saw Sliema take some time to assert themselves although in the end it was a runaway victory for the Blues

The first session ended up with Sliema establishing a two goal lead through Brownrigg and Meli with Marsascala surprisingly squaring up in the second session with goals from Licari and Spiteri. Sliema reasserted themselves with another two goals from Brownrigg.

The third session saw Sliema reassert themselves scoring six goals without reply to make it 8-2 with Brownrigg notching up his poker and Valletta and Soler also getting on the scoresheet.

Marsascala got back on the scoresheet at the beginning of the fourth session with a fine angled goal by Jonathan Spiteri and Peter Borg further reduced the arrears with a lobbed goal. Micallef made the score more respectable towards mid session. Spiteri-Staines scored for Sliema to reassert their superiority.
