Alex Borg of Juventutis Domus Club, Zejtun won the fourth ranking tournament of the season organised by the Malta Billiards and Snooker Association when, in front of a very good crowd at Anglo Maltese League, Valletta, he beat Duncan Bezzina of Hamrun Liberty Sports Club 5-3 in the final. Referee of the match was Michael Farrugia.

Bezzina won the first two frames helped by a clearance of 62 in the second after Borg was leading by 42 points. However Borg levelled the match by winning the next two going into the mid-session interval.

When play resumed, Bezzina made it 3-2 with a break of 66 but Borg showed some good form in winning the next three frames in which he had breaks of 49, 84 and 78 for a final score of 5-3.

After the match, Mr Joe Caruana Curran, President of the Malta Billiards and Snooker Association presented the trophies to the two finalists.

In the MBSA provisional ranking list, Alex Borg is leading with 3,850 points followed by Duncan Bezzina and Simon Zammit who are second with 2,750 points.
