Dutch police confiscated dozens of knives, clubs and other weapons from Marseille fans travelling by bus to yesterday night's UEFA Cup match against Ajax.

"Based on the heightened risk of problems surrounding yesterday's match, police have deployed extra units including riot squads," Amsterdam police said in a statement.

Despite the confiscations, only two arrests were made — one for weapon possession and another drug-related arrest. Police did not release the nationalities of those arrested.
