Malta’s Tony Drago did not have to sweat to advance to the second round of the Shanghai Masters qualifiers.
Yesterday he had to meet Li Hang of China, but the latter awarded the Maltese player a walkover. The Chinese boy failed to obtain the required visa.
Drago is now scheduled to meet 58th ranked David Morris in the next round.
Meanwhile, following his previous matches, Drago has moved up to 80 in the world ranking list. He now has a total of 6,130 points after having collected 280 points from the matches in the earlier rounds of the tournament. He had started the new season with 5,850 points.
