S. P. Hotel Limited, proprietors of San Pawl Hotel filed an application in court saying that K. S. Catering Limited, which operates tourist complex Saint Paul’s Bay Hotel, has used the exclusive name of their hotel.

S. P. Hotel Limited is asking K. S. Catering Limited to stop using the name and insisted that it will take legal action if this does not happen. S. P. Hotel limited said that the hotel in Blacktail road has been operating for over 30 years with that name and therefore it has become a trademark of the company. They added that the Saint Paul’s Bay Hotel, previously known as Bugibba Holiday Complex is creating confusion in the market. Lawyer Patrick Galea signed the writ.
