Football – Friendly In Portugal : Malta faces Angola today

Malta will be facing Angola in a friendly match today in Portugal.

It is being held in preparation for next Wednesday's more important World Cup qualifier against Portugal.

National coach John Buttigieg, and his assistant Carmel Busuttil, will be making use of their probable line-up against Portugal today as they consider this match as being of the same importance as that of Wednesday.

Included in the squad are Manny Muscat and John Hutchinson are the only "foreigners" in the Malta squad. Justin, Andrei Agius and Andre Schembri have been dropped while Daniel Bogdanovic has been left out once again.

Buttigieg will be selecting his formation from among the following squad players:

Goalkeepers: A. Hogg, M. Muscat.

Defenders: I. Azzopardi, S. Bajada, J. Caruana, M. Muscat, B. Said, K. Scicluna.

Midfielders: G. Agius, R. Briffa, C. Failla, R. Fenech, J. Hutchinson, G. Mallia, J. Pace, K. Sammut.

Strikers: A. Cohen, M. Mifsud.
