ITG Global Logistics and its local partner Fahrenheit Freight Forwarders are celebrating 10 years of reliable cargo transport services between Malta and Germany.
Directors and staff of Fahrenheit and ITG last week welcomed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tonio Borg, and directors from leading manufacturing and import companies in Malta, to commemorate this significant milestone. The event, which treated guests to a traditional German food and beer night, was held at Il Cortile Farmhouse in Naxxar.
ITG, established in 1981 and a member of Deutsche Post, is a renowned logistics service provider. Its vast network extends to over 200 localities in 90 different countries. In 1999, the company started a regular weekly import and export trailer service between Malta and Germany. Today this is a crucial service for major companies operating in Malta. It provides fast and reliable transport for the importation of raw materials for manufacturing firms, consumer and industrial products for local importers, and also for the exportation of goods rolling off Maltese production lines.
Over the past years, ITG increased its use of Fahrenheit’s extensive fleet for its services to Malta. A few months ago, this collaboration was strengthened when ITG endorsed Fahrenheit Freight Forwarders as its new official partner in Malta. This development reconfirmed ITG’s commitment to its services in Malta.
With a privately-owned fleet of over 150 trailers and 40 road tractors, Fahrenheit is one of Malta’s leading providers in the international freight forwarding sector. Using the latest technology, the company’s team provides high quality air, sea, and road freight forwarding and logistics services. Fahrenheit is a member of the Famalco Group.
Locally, ITG also uses the services of the local firm Miksons Transport Ltd.
