Popular Vittoriosa wine bar Del Borgo has just refreshed its food menu, introducing a new section of mezes and tapas, plus replacing salad and pasta choices while limiting the food offer to allow space for clients to focus on its extensive wine list.
Patrons of Del Borgo will still find their favourite dishes, including the classic wine platters, the hobza Maltija and the sfineg (both fish and chicken). The “get local” concept, too, has been retained and there are items that can be bought to take home.
Alan Mercieca Bons, director of Del Borgo, said: “We are confident that the new food menu will make Del Borgo an even greater attraction as the weather changes. The menu has been expanded but our patrons keep returning because they know they are benefiting from a wine bar menu and not a full restaurant menu.”
Ingrid Dalli, director of Del Borgo, added: “We want to ensure that our clients get an efficient service and that our food can always be fresh and appetising, acting as an accompaniment to our well stocked wine cellar.”
Del Borgo’s recent addition of the Enoteca, with products that can be bought to take home, has been enhanced with a new section of both wine and food products.
Mr Mercieca Bons announced that Del Borgo has extended its opening hours: “We are now opening earlier at 5pm and remain open up to 1am seven days a week. We aim to attract those out for a drive on the weekend and people who want to stop by while on the way home from the office,” he said.
